Billet Industries Joins Flinchbaugh Engineering as a Wholly Owned Subsidiary
Flinchbaugh Engineering, Inc., a 100% employee-owned company located in York, PA, proudly announces the acquisition of Billet Industries, a well-respected precision machining company known for delivering superior quality products to aerospace, defense, and industrial clients. This move represents an important step in Flinchbaugh Engineering’s strategy to diversify our business through acquisitions that further strengthen us as the leading precision machining company in the Mid-Atlantic Region. “As we collectively share almost 100 years in business, we are excited to celebrate this milestone by expanding our served markets through the addition of the Billet Industries’ team.” said Steve Shank, President & CEO of Flinchbaugh Engineering.
Billet has a sterling reputation for quality and business integrity. A family business founded 51 years ago, the Billet team adds 40 highly skilled employees and a fully equipped 30,000 square foot plant to Flinchbaugh Engineering’s York, PA manufacturing footprint. Located roughly one mile from the Flinchbaugh Engineering campus, Billet’s capabilities are almost perfectly complementary to Flinchbaugh in every way. This opens the door to new markets, and we see both companies stronger because of each other’s unique strengths.
Billet will be held as a wholly owned subsidiary to best preserve the uniqueness that was instrumental in their long-term success. The Billet team joins their new colleagues in our employee-owned business through the Employee Stock Ownership program (ESOP). Flinchbaugh Engineering Inc. is a 100% employee-owned precision manufacturing company servicing corporate clients in the capital goods sector. Founded in 1978, we provide production machining services and innovative supply chain solutions to companies such as Caterpillar, SKF, Seakeeper, Siemens, Voith and Cummins. The combined business will employ over 250 employees in the Hellam Township (East York) area. Occupying seven buildings, with 180,000 square feet under roof, we utilize 160 machine tools to deliver the best quality and service for our customers. The Billet business and brand will stay intact, serving their niche customers and end markets.
