  • Optimize the flow of raw materials and finished goods in order to maintain production schedules and on-time deliveries
  • Manage inventory including raw materials, finished goods and work-in-progress to accurately maintain counts and traceability of materials

Essential Job Functions

  • Check incoming materials against items listed on purchase orders and job travelers, completing receiving log and receipts within Vista – having all receipts completed by the end of the day items are received
  • Document and report discrepancies on incoming material to the appropriate department/individuals
  • Review supplier material certification with incoming material ensuring compliance with order requirements
  • Inspect, identify(tag), count, weigh, and stage material/parts in appropriate WIP area, maintaining clear and legible identification
  • Maintain organization of WIP and raw material area
  • Handle internal material handling of WIP and raw material to support the manufacturing process
  • Check existing material inventory and stock prior to purchasing placing PO’s for requirements
  • Maintain finished goods inventory for organization and accuracy
  • Make deliveries & pickups, using company vehicles; load, unload, and secure parts as needed for transit
  • Assemble orders for shipment, count, weigh, and check against job traveler
  • Package parts in shipping boxes, containers, skids, or others means to protect from damage in transit
  • Create Bill of Lading or other online shipping documentation and arrange for carrier pick-up
  • Handle Tooling Regrinds/Rebuilds – processing outbound and inbound tools requiring reconditioning
  • Saw material for jobs as required
  • Complete monthly vehicle maintenance reports and notify management of any issues w/equipment
  • Document daily activities to assure performance in accordance with job time standards

Additional Qualifications

The following qualifications are required for this position:
  • Employee will be required to operate forklifts and have the ability to safely rig & handle product up to 4 tons
  • Must be computer literate and familiar with Epicor ERP system, Microsoft Excel as well as UPS World Ship, FedEx, or other tracking software.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Company Policies
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record
  • Willing to work overtime when needed to satisfy customer requirements
  • Work effectively with peers and management in a team oriented environment
  • The employee may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job related tasks as required, subject to applicable state and federal law
  • Recent experience working in a warehouse environment – a plus!
  • Experience working in ISO-9001 or AS9100 quality environment – a plus!
